Showers of Blessing - Original

The inspiration for this piece comes from the Mid-Autumn Festival (also known as the "Moon Festival") which is one of the most important festivals in Chinese culture. It is a day for family, friends and loved ones to gather and celebrate when the moon is at its fullest and brightest of the whole year. I wanted to capture the festival atmosphere with the "dance" of the lotus blossom and leaves against the spectacular colors of the harvest moon.
