Taking Flight - Original

I was fascinated by the unique character of the weathered lotus leaves. Like the wind blown cypress tree, they are shaped by their environment to become a symbol of strength and perseverance.Young lotus leaves all look very similar. It is only after they age that the unique character of each leaf is revealed. To some degree this is also true of people. It is only after we have weathered life's storms that our true character is developed.
