The Core

This piece represents those times in our lives where our “heart” and “head” are in conflict and we are torn between our thoughts and emotions.  These episodes are usually brought about by external forces; those things in our lives that are spiraling out of control.  It is during these times that we call upon those deeply held religious or philosophical beliefs that make up our “core” values.  This is the place where our “heart” and “head” are in balance.  Whatever the struggles, as long as we hold true to our core values, we will regain control and emerge stronger and more resilient. 
 
We are compelled to follow our heart but it is not always an easy path. Sometimes our heart and mind are in conflict torn between the emotional and the intellectual.
